And what have we learned, Knute?

I thought the contest was over. Why’s he making another one now? I think he should just try getting somebody to film him skateboard, after all that used to be his thing. “Tricky Dicky” may be better than the other Luann youtube videos, but in a contest I don’t forsee it taking highest honors.

Picasso could sell scribbles that took less time than Knute just used. A lot of the greatest photographs were very spontaneous, not all were Ansel Adams contemplated masterpieces. Sometimes spontaneous is just great enough to be really great. And Ansel shot a few great quickies as well.

Knute, Knute. What will we do with you?? “Success and effort” do not mean extra minutes spent making the video. And a winner means the contest is over. Pay attention in school. Crystal, he’s been entertaining but this is too much. Do you really want to stick with him, girl?

Crystal has been sounding sensible and looking really smokin’ hot this week. Knute, on the other hand, has been looking dumber and dumber. Maybe if she goes out with someone else, he will wake up; maybe.

Can’t produce anything worthwhile? What do you think is going to happen in this story in relation to the video he just submitted?

The worst thing that could happen is that he wins, then he will have learned nothing except that taking shortcuts and putting in little or no effort works.

I strongly suspect that Knute indeed has artistic talent, and pattern recognition ability, and so much else going for him, but hasn’t learned the art of follow-through. He’s Calvin as a teenager without the mean streak: maybe an INFP who doesn’t know his own potential, as opposed to Calvin’s decided ENFP-itude.

What have WE learned, People?WE’VE learned that Knute will NEVER Learn!

Crystal.Take your right arm.Extend it as FAR ar it will go.Now with a Great SWEEPING motion, SWING it in the direction of Knute making SURE the Palm of Your hand comes into VERY Violent contact with Knute’s Face.REPEAT, until THIS Idiot comes to His senses.

Ouch. I thought Knute was inherently slow. But now I see he’s just lazy.

I don’t know if I’m allowed to post links. But here’s a video I did with random pictures from the internet a few years back. Probably just a step up from Knutes. But it was fun to do. Sorry if I’m not allowed to post links. Won’t do it again unless it’s allowed. I ought to do one about Luann! CUT AND PASTE: http://www.youtube.com/watchv=RZExNjsEU_w&feature=related

I did not really appreciate Picasso at first, but he showed great talent even as a boy. I only liked the early professional paintings first (bue period etc) but after seeing the prolific work on the official website, I do- I have my own version of Femme aux Pigeons which has parrots and is on a 6’high canvas.

Throwing enough crap against the wall, in the hopes that something will stick, often works. Learning to appreciate artistry is harder, & most who claim expertise have merely mastered the art of pomposity. TV is a black hole that sucks time. The best thing on it is the off button.

Ottodesu: Probably Adams’ most famous picture not from Yosemite (the moonrise over the village) was one of them. He could always adjust the “zone” in the darkroom.

Knute is learning persistence! Okay, so the first one didn’t win, he’s not going to give up! His vids don’t have to be thought out, he just has to keep trying.
