See, Flask isn’t brainless or uncaring. She’s willing to let others take action if it helps the mission. Cut her some slack. Then, spend more time appreciating the extra work Aaron put into this week’s art.
For no particular reason A song popped into my head Part of 1960s “silly season” And filled with a weird sort of dread It was Something’s in the Bag Triggered here by our Holly, no doubt In a minute, your interest will flag And there’s no gain from sticking it out From below the ground, Holly had heard When the creature (or creatures) gave voice Was it statements, or just the one word? Either way, she would give up its choice Rather than, of course, giving up Wally Or even the beast to grim death Flask is going along with this “folly” (I thought Holly was wasting her breath) But I’m struck by the new group dynamic Things are now more complex than they seem For here in a brief moment of panic Holly’s taken control of the team Kudos always to Aaron’s depiction Of this marvelous group and their world We’ll be watching this sciency fiction As each day, a new aspect’s unfurled And one more silly moment today As I pondered this artwork reknown And I read what our Wally did say: “Shouldn’t that speech text be upside down?” =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum
After looking at a few strips back; I have a feeling Wally and Holly just found the teddy bear’s owner. Holly doesn’t have any place to carry the bear and so I would assume Wally has it in the bag. Ah! The innocence of mutant childhood.
Maybe when it gets its Teddy back, Flask can ask it to go live near Endtown. She can help take care of it, and it can help her with surface security. Because it has separation anxiety, Flask can give it a blanky from her department’s supplies. A Security blanket.
Can somebody remind me who “Elmyra” (mentioned in yesterday’s comments) is/was? I thought maybe she was Sparkplug’s kid, but after checking that story arc over, her name was April.
And once again, Aaron, great artwork and storyline.
Wants the bag? Wants the bear? Something seems out of place Did that focus of care Really fit in that space? In the backpack, I’d guess (Holly’s no longer there) But it’s wrong to compress Such a put-upon bear =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum

They may have their differences; but Wally and Holly definitely make a great team! Flask is probably jealous of the relationship Wally and Holly have.
By the way Aaron, you’ve got an awesome story going here and I can’t want to see more! Kudos!!!

Can’t help thinking Holly’s gonna ‘gnaw’ at those tentacles to get it to release him.

Good advice, but there’s no way to get it off him, with the way they’re wrapped around him.

Maybe she can just climb up and unzip the bag, letting the bear fall out…
Great job with all the “arms” Aaron! Your drawing just gets better and better! :)
