No seconds on desserts at Grandma’s house Nelson.

Woooh! Opal, laying it down!

Opal your the grandma …your supposed to spoil the grand kids!!

I don’t get it either, Nelson. The line I got was “You don’t want to spoil your supper.” That line I got. But I did want to spoil my supper, otherwise it would spoil my appetite.

Finally!! Someone who knows enough is enough and too much is too much!!

The old biddy just wants to be in control, thass all.

No, she’s just teaching Nelson to be appreciative and satisfied with what should be enough. I’m tired of everyone going overboard on everything and still being unsatisfied.

Great dialogic reverses in this one. That’s why I love this strip.

Give the kid seconds you old bat…

Gramma should have just said “Right.” in the 4th panel. Would have been funnier.

Better than my Granny used to say, “Want in one hand and spit in the other.”

Some of you old grouch butts take all the fun out of comics.

Disagree with most of you – I am a grandfather five times now, and my answer would have been, “sure sweetheart, two things for sure, you can eat your desert before dinner but you have to eat dinner to get seconds in deserts.” Drives your kids crazy when you spoil your grandkids, it’s fun!

I see no reason not to let the kid have another piece of cake (which he very politely asked for!) growing kids (especially boys) are expending a lot of energy and always hungry! It’s bad enough Opal is so mean to Earl but she could be nicer to Nelson :-/

I’m liking her less and less. She’s never kind to anyone, except Muffin… and her sister… sometimes.
