Gromeko: [reading newspaper] They’ve shot the Czar. And all his family. [crumples newspaper] Gromeko: Oh, that’s a savage deed. What’s it for? Zhivago: It’s to show there’s no going back.
The thing about all these “Anyone can draw!” books is that even with one, my stuff comes out looking like the one on the left. The only way to get better at drawing is to draw, and to do it regularly. No amount of instruction or guidelines can substitute for nitty-gritty practice.
There is an art to packing light and traveling light can be a liberating experience. I am not impressed, though, by this demonstration on the blog. I backpacked around the world for nearly two years with about a third of what goes into that bag, and I had plenty of room for souvenirs.
@The Old Wolf, is that an Elk in the picture? They must not be great jumpers; the deer in my area would have cleared that fence with their eyes closed.

My goodness – the blog just exploded today. So many wondrous serendipities…
Look closely at my HypnoCoin picture from the other day and you’ll see one of Kinekt’s gear rings as well…

The wooden bridge looks like something out of Myst, and I love the typewriter art… ASCII Art done one character at a time.

@6turtle9: No, it’s just a local deer. That would be an easy jump, but I think this one slipped on some ice. Freak accident.
