Within a decade or two dvds might be unfamiliar to the ignorant youth of the future.

    Springsteen?? Never heard of himā€¦

But Jason needs The Doctor to save him. Oh wait Doctor doesnā€™t save people from siblings, just aliens and invents a VHS recorder before its time.

Was told that Blu Ray will be the only thing in a few month. DVDā€™s going the way of VHS. Told by a Wal Mart associate that works in electronics

Of all the ā€œClassicā€ strips here, this one is the best for nostalgic technogeeks. It does a great job of illustrating the extremely short life span of ā€˜cutting-edgeā€™ technology!

Video cassettes? That makes me feel old in an age of DVDs and YouTube.

I only have a couple of movies on DVD. I have more on the original laser vision, and of course some on VHS and a handful recorded off the air on Beta tape. I still have the machines to play all of the formats. Like Falcon, I only have a standard def analog TV (with a converter box to watch stuff off the air in the event of a flood emergency). I suppose I could get a Blu-Ray drive for the computer, since my monitor will do high def.

Sheila says: ā€œWas told that Blu Ray will be the only thing in a few month. DVDā€™s going the way of VHS. Told by a Wal Mart associateā€ . Walmart. Yep. thatā€™s where I go when I want knowledgeable electronics information.

For years I wanted to copy my 12" reel-to-reel tapes to cassette. Now Iā€™d like to copy them to CD. Oh, technology!

Who needs hi-def TV when you no longer have hi-def eyes?
