Did you ever notice how a big ladder looks like a train bridge? And how are wagon looks like a flatcar? What are you up to? Relax, mom I'm writing a story for class. Oh. So anyway, the research for my story went a little awry... So did mom call the ambulance yet?

That’s why writing comic strips is better than writing stories for class. The kids do all your research for you.

Don’t you just love it (or cringe) when a kid starts off with “Hey Mom, did you know…”

Or "hey mom/dad, where’s the…(mop, sponge, shovel, snow shovel, rope….)?

My youngest son’s nickname when he was a bit younger was The Guinea Pig. He was the test subject for many an experiment or research gone wrong.

Aw man it’s another one of Toby’s ideas!

My favourite was and still is “anyone have a bandaid?” Or “anyone have an icepack?” Mom learned that usually meant a trip to the doctor or emergency room. Co-workers seem to take a little longer to get to that realization. sigh. .I like that Toby tried to be thorough and research his story. Of course Eddie was willing to help.

I like how an experiment involving a ladder and wagon ends with Eddie having a colander pressed firmly on his melon.

I realize that none of my friends here know my true identity and all that but I’m so excited that I’m going to tell you anyway…The reason you haven’t seen much of me lately is that I took a vacation to visit the thriving metropolis of Prague, OK (I doubt anyone here even knows where that is). Anyway, the reason I made the journey out west wasn’t just to have some time away from work. I went to propose…and she said YES!!!!!!
