Here’s what confuses me continually in Gil Thorpe. Which players are Millford? In Panel 1, Millford is wearing the white uniform. In Panel 3, Marty tells us that a Millford player has been injured. But the player getting injured in Panel 2 is wearing a dark uniform! Help!
Whew! Two games in less than a week. Azal has switched from the Lou Groza black hightops to the Joe Willie whites. P2: Jaden must be a TE, that looks like a modern day chop tackle to take down a bigger receiver. P3: If the Mudlarks are “barnstorming” this year with multiple games during the week, surely Moonpie will hanker for Arsonist Night.
Harris does a Michael Jackson homage with one gloved hand. Gil really hasn’t got any alternatives to the unfortunate Azal? Did he have tryouts for the position in the first place, or just assume the guy with the foreign name was born knowing how to kick?
The kicker is only a subplot. Mildcat wants to oust Gil and get his puppet Deke in there so he can pull the strings. He’s probably pissed his kid is a lineman and not the star.
This season may hurt Gil’s chances to get Milford in the Pac 12 or the SEC as the 14th team. Gil’s career record in all sports is tremendous, isn’t it?
flanders22 you have stumbled upon an option. Instead of dropping the kicker, it would be interesting to see a drop kick. Maybe Gil could hire Doug Flutie to teach it.
