Nancy: Some old TEACHER just STRUCK IT RICH. Aunt Fritzi: WHY, that's MR. CORLEW, my old HOMEROOM TEACHER. Nancy: REALLY? It says he made a MILLION DOLLARS selling all the comic books, baseball cards and toys he took away from STUDENTS over the years.

46 years ago my 5th grade teacher took away my pocket watch that I inherited from my Grandfather and never gave it back. This made me think of that. Oh well I donât hold it against him.

Oh boy, not this canard again. Who will be the first to whine about how much athletes make?

Maybe he is the one who sold Sluggo that âWoody Woodpeckerâ comic book that he was reading last monthâŠ

Yes, if they confiscate anything that is not harmful or illegal, they should return them to the students after class. Not keep them. Should be manditory they return them.

No, they need jail sentences. Theft is theft. Why should we pay them more to rob our children blind. Teacher took my daughterâs cell phone earlier this year. Should she have had in class? No. But the teacher has no right to confiscate something that I paid for. The teacher did not return the item to my daughter after school. Told her that her parents would have to pick it up. It was Friday. My daughter was without her cell phone the entire weekend. I told the teacher if she pulled a stunt like that again I would file charges. Then I deactivated the phone for 2 weeks as punishment to my daughter for taking it to class in the first place. Funny thing, my daughter wasnât using the phone when it was confiscated. It was in her pocket. The display activated and could be seen through her pocket. My other question is why was the teacher looking at my daughterâs pocket in the first place. Had the teacher been male I would have had her fired. I have no simpathy for these teachers. Most of whom, in the words of Carl the Janitor âtook a teaching position, âcause you thought itâd be fun, right? Thought you could have summer vacations offâŠand then you found out it was actually workâŠand that really bummed you out.â They need tio stop taking out their frustations on our kids. Growing up is hard enough without having to deal with a constant deluge of crap from on high. Kids have their entire working lives to get crap poured on them.
