    You get some of the jewelweed that grows with it and rub that on your skin.

    Use Tecnu after ivy wash. That stuff is fantastic for getting the oil off your skin. (spoken by someone allergic to poison ivy)

    I’ve also used alcohol wipes to wash it off because it dries it up and sometimes soap and water just spreads it. Nasty stuff!

    Quick, open your laptop and go to WebMD! Oh, wait, no internet! Wait, get your smart phone! Dang, no signal! Uh oh… ;-) Seriously, though, go jump in the lake… if you wash off the oils before they absorb, it won’t be so bad.
