Actually, he was trying to say “adios, amigas”. Amiga is the feminine form of amigo, or friend. Amigas is used to refer to a group of friends all of which are female. But mariposa (butterfly) is a female noun, so the mariposas are all Hammys amigas unless otherwise specified.
