The Complete and Unabridged History of Western Typography. By Roman Bodoni. Chapter 26
XXX
Horace seems……… speachless………..
I don’t blame him for falling asleep; Bodoni’s so boring. He should have read the similar book by the author’s uncial.
Shouldn’t that be chapter 26?
That book can be boring, but typefaces themselves can be exciting:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6djQHeqMwQ
…is it weird that I would enjoy that book? (I’m a graphic designer by profession)
I know some of Roman’s friends. Franklin Gothic is a pretty straightforward type, and Arnold Bocklin is downright pretentious.Excuse me, there’s a Courier at the door…
I’m waiting for a delivery of hot wingdings.
Then there’s the New York City phone book—not a lot of plot, but, Oh, what a cast!
I loved reading the dictionary when I was a teen, but I know most of the etymology now and look to online souces for spelling ;-)
I noticed the Finnish version says Chapter 26, and so I came back here and see that it has been fixed here too.
