It was 69 years ago today {Oct. 7, 1942} when we first met Cal Bullet, a chemist, a genius and a traitor to his country. He was attempting to sell his invention of poison gas to none other than Pruneface, a German spy.

Keeping real close to the original storyline here. I really do hope Brandon pulls through.

@Tarry PlaguerCouldn’t be – he looks too harmless to be Gertie’s hatchet-throwing offspring. But isn’t that Rowan Atkinson’s face on that child? Could he be the infant Mr. Bean?

I hope Tracy didn’t suffer a concussion from that sapping. He needs to function well and think clearly to get these slimeballs! Go, plainclothes Tracy!

Great first panel and Tracy’s induction gives me goosebumps! I really like the bit of fatherly warmth the creative team is giving Brandon.

On a side note, it’s really too bad that the GoComics colorist isn’t following the greyscale coloring of the Sunday strips. A brown suit with a red tie? Yech!

I wouldn’t mind seeing Tracy on the moon again but only in a retelling of a past event like we are experiencing now. I think Mike and Joe would do a superb job of it. With all of the past villains showing up I keep hoping to see the 52 Gang eventually. Thanks guys!

I see the thugs left some cash behind. I’ll love these bumbs getting their due. I do not root for the bad guys. I am 61 and think how blessed that I am having known some good cops and a couple that have died in the line of duty cause some lazy bumb will not work, and deal drugs, or rob.

Love the detail of the newpaper in the background of panel three with the headline screaming, “Crime Wave!” And why is the newspaper blue?

Attitude Plenty looks like Mr. Bean? LOL! And don’t miss Rowan Atkinson’s new flick, Johnny English Reborn, coming soon. More laughs from this hilarious Brit.

Getting sucker-punched by a hood gets you a promotion to plain clothes?
