Who knew Pig could write like that? I thought he could barely read.

Some said that Camille’s great love of Bean Dip was but a passing thing, yet it could not be denied that she now had a certain air about her.

You know, the rhythm and sound of our hero’s name makes me think of “Wuthering Heights” for same reason. The fact that the hero is a Dip doesn’t detract from the similarity.

The worst thing for a pig is to be disgruntled.

He could be “M. Haricot Trempette” . . . in French . . .

The line about going off to the war gives a whole new meaning to shipping “bullets and beans” to the front.

Maybe the antagonist is “Tracer Bullet”? Or is he more of a Dum dum?

And don’t forget bathos… the opposite of pathos… that is, a sustained period of sorrow, followed by an abrupt descent to ridicule! M. le bathos?
