Let’s see, the Red Sox tanked (pun intended) because of lousy pitching for most of the year and a lot of errors at the end. The Yankees won the most games but weren’t the best team in the AL. The Phillies HAD the best team but lost. Just another baseball season.
The Curse was invented by Boston sportswriter and all around twerp Dan Shaughnessy in order to sell a book. The Sox winning the Series was the worst thing for him, and his writing demonstrates that. So everyone please stop feeding that particular mangy animal. Oh, by the way, the Yankees collapse in the 2004 ALCS was much worse.
If you ever tour Fenway Park, they mentioned faulty investing in a musical called “No, No Nanette” in the 1920’s by the Red Sox’s owner*, not the curse of the bambino. In Ken Burn’s latest documentary, Prohibition, the name of that play is in lights in the background in at least one scene, a funny tie-in. *This story is disputed, as is almost every legend in baseball!

Since the rumor that Theo Epstein might be going to the Cubs, a transfer of the goat to Boston would be nice.
