Eating is weird. Here we go again. Your body needs energy, so what do you do? Go find something sticking out of the ground or wandering the countryside to singe on a fire, then stuff in your talking-hole. Weird! Gonna be weird or when dinner becomes invitation-only.

I don’t know if eating is weird. But some of the things we eat are weird. The first person that looked at a lobster, and thought I’m gonna eat that, had to be very hungry. I mean c’mon, it’s a big ugly looking bug.

In my teens I went through a period thinking that eating was a gross physical act that should only be done in private.
Fortunately, I eventually accepted the fact that this is what animals, including us, do and must do. Even more fortunately, I never came to the same acceptance of the gross physical processes at the other end.
