True Hawaiian shirts … properly called ALOHA Shirts … are timeless classics. Don’t confuse ‘em with cheap knock-off wannabes. I have a few that date back to the ’50s – real Koa buttons – and they’ve held up to repeated washings and wear through 5 decades. Try that with most of your other shirts and I think you see not only are they an eclectic fashion statement (ie, chill, dude!), they are an economic one. My son is waiting my ultimate demise just so he can claim my Aloha shirts. Maybe I’ll give them to the Smithsonian instead …. :-)

I love wearing these when I go out with my wife to clash with whatever rags she decides to put on.

My Hawaiian shirt (which was given to me by my daughter because my son-in-law outgrew it before he ever wore it) has gotten numerous positive comments over the years!
