Is this rerun sequence synched to the holidays? I ask because I’ve seen nary a single strip yet involving Calvin’s angst vis a vis Santa, or him outside in the snow making snow goons or throwing snowballs at Suzie. I suppose I can go check my complete collection-maybe Watterson only started doing holiday/seasonal gags later on in the run.

@JohnDiFool: Today’s rerun is from November 29, 1986. The strips stopped being in sync with the seasons back in May, when we reached the point of Bill Watterson’s first sabbatical (1991). Since May, we have rapidly gone through the first 13 months of Calvin and Hobbes (mostly 1986), skipping many weeks. So there were also no back-to-school strips in the fall, and no Halloween strips in October this year.Here is last year’s Christmas Eve strip. Even if Calvin’s mom does buy 10 boxes of the cereal, they may not be all the different colors.

parents ( not all ) but too many do not control or over see what their kids at home, school, grocery store,etc … and then wander whats going on when there kids wind up in shootouts at the high school or in some gang , starts with the ceral
