Transcript:
Gene: Shrimp, I don't think there's room for two Pops in this outfit! Gene: Besides, I'm too young to be a "Pop"! Meg: Well, what should I call you? Gene: "Gene" won't do anymore? Meg: No! I want to call you something special! Gene: Like "Shrimp", huh? Meg: Even more special than that!

I still wonder if it is intentional that they have such similar silhouettes… Maybe it is in her genes…

My step-daughter called me a lot of different things through the years but none that I can repeat on here. If she had her choice she would call me deceased
Arianne over 13 years ago
If she’s “Shrimp,” maybe… Crawdad? Even if only as a joking rejoinder?

Thanks for the encouragement, guys! : ) I was playing around with shrimp/lobster when crawdad occurred. And then my husband added crawdaddy.

I read where Pat Nixon was distressed once at being called “Grandma” by one of her grandchildren because it made her feel old. But when the kid checked in with Grandpa, the former President replied “Oh, you can call me whatever you want; I’ve already been called everything.”
