For those of you who were wondering as I was about the sunlight thing, it refers to direct sunlight. They only get 6 hours because of the cloud cover. See: http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/hi/country_guides/newsid_9383000/9383965.stm

Here’s a bit more detail about the fall, but not too much more about the victim:

I read about a similar fall onto a fence where a spear-like top pierced the victim but it was a much shorter fall. The EMT’s had to cut the spear to get the kid to the Emergency Room. But a five story fall? I would think the body’s momentum would have just about ripped the guy’s head off.

I heard the true story of an eccentric young man who jumped out or a second story of a hotel. He landed and just ran to the next town. Someone said: “There goes the 6 Million Dollar Man!”

Keiko won because her opponents were afraid that if they hit her, they’d kill her and get arrested.

Close Call Fall is my brother. He’s finally out of the hospital, walking and talking, and should be back to work in a month or so. Guardian angels do exist!
