Actually, in Pittsburgh, we call our mothers “mommy” or “ma” We’re going down Mommy’s house. Here in the south my husband calls his father “daddy” and mother “mama”
When my son was little, he’d call me “Father” all the time. I have no idea where he got the idea that I deserved that much respect. Eventually, in his late teens, he started calling me “Dad”.I remember when I was little, I’d call my father “Dad”. Then one day I decided to start calling him “Pop” because I thought that sounded more friendly. He told me, “No no no, that name makes me feel OLD!” I guess that’s what he called his father! So I went back to “Dad”.
Lil Matty and Mommy need to sit down and have an adult. tal;k Subject – It is time to drop the Mommy and use Mom and she is to call him Matt. End of conversation.
