This is one of the most touching LDL strips I have seen in a while. One of the things I like about this comic is that it can be heart-wrenching one day and funny the next. Such great work.
Such a beautiful strip. LDL welcomed by a guardian of the dead. Breath stopped, heart paused and painful lump in throat; such a wonderful feeling is envoked. Cant’ really ’splain it, but there it is. Great work Steve. Gems like this make it worth going through the clutter.
I tell you what’s even sadder. A pup in the neighborhood, chained to a doghouse with no food or water for days. I’ve called animal control and the Humane Society. Nobody has done a damn thing. I give it food and water, but was told I could be arrested for trespassing!

Very sweet, yet disturbing. I sure would love to give Little Lost Dog a home.

I would like to think that the statue is a representation of the Blessed Mother, who cried over her lost Son. . . . A beautiful parallel.
