Like most gags, an explanation drains the humor right out. I think it’s funny, but I won’t say why.

It is a fuse box with 6 little screw in fuses. In the US the fuses use the same screw in base as a standard light bulb. if this is an image from England, I’m not sure what their fuses look like, but I thought they used the ones that looked like tubes and need a tool to pull them in and out…

I don’t quite get it (or this whole week) myself though…

Also, what happened to Nov 3rd’s strip. Was GoComics.com SNAFU again?

My vote is for a fuse box. That would explain the darkness but nothing else. Other than the cartoonist in-joke, this sequence was not very funny.

Vicky is surprised by whom she sees / doesn’t see. Cartoons don’t necessarily have to make you laugh….they can also make you think and see the usual in a different way.
