The third frame from the left has the lady, from the shoulders up, off set slightly. This gives the opportunity to see a 3D effect when crossing your eyes and over lapping the adjacent frame.
This technique is as simple a method as possible to view 3D that there is. Too bad it does not cost an arm and a leg, and a special TV and special glasses. Then it might be more desirable to todays public.
73 yrs ago, when I was 10, I took 3d pairs, with my Box Camera, by just taking two pix of the same scene. I took the first pic then moving the camera for the second picture of the same scene about 5 inches to the side of the first pic.
Regarding the Japanese pregnant carnival doll on the blog, I was intrigued to see that its make was one Dr. Hasegawa. There is a company in Japan by the same name that makes sci-fi model kits. I wonder if there’s some connection?
The 369th’s return to New York is sometimes taken as the starting date for the Harlem Renaissance. Henry Johnson is likely to receive a belated Medal of Honor soon. The medal has been in the works since 2002, and the effort got a boost earlier this year when someone uncovered a memo from General Pershing about his actions.
