Easiest thing is to mow them with a mulching mower, beats blowing them all over the yard for hours.

Unless you want compost. But that’s not hard, either. You rake or blow them in one pile. You go away. You stay away. Not much to it if you don’t over-think it.

I usually compost half of the leaves, but this year, the wind has taken most of them, so I really don’t have enough for my garden. Arlo can give me his.

city i live in collects the yard waste and then the residents can go and get as much free compost as they want

I drag mine into the woods so I don’t have to burn ‘em. But I don’t think burning leaves once a year causes that much harm…..compared to volcanoes and coal fired factories and of course all of those cars……

    1. Get a dozen cedar 1×6×6-ft fence boards. 2. Cut them all into 3-ft lengths. 3. About 3-in. from each end, cut a 3/4×3/4 notch in both sides. 4. Google [Lincoln Logs] for how to assemble into two cubes. 5. Fill with leaves, grass clippings, veggie cuttings, hose down weekly. 6. Either wait six months, or turn weekly (either one).Everything (and I mean everything gets recycled, eventually. You and I are star-stuff.

Compost them by leaving them spread out evenly on the lawn. That’s how I do it!
