Woman: Hey, you're 'Pig' from the comic strip 'Pearls Before Swine'! Mind signing my 'Pearls' book? Pig: Sure! What's your name? Woman: Stacey... with an 'ey.' Pig: Gotcha!
See this page for info on inserting links here. The short version is:(a href=“website_you_want_to_link_to”)This Steyci(/a)You will need to replace the ( with < and the ) with >.
To be fair, one valid pronunciation of “Steyci” is indeed “Stacy”. Stacey was just too ambiguous when she told pig how to spell her name. And her parents were too pretentious when spelling her name “Stacey”, probably wanting to make their little girl “special”.
A nod to Linus van Pelt, who (decades ago) – asked Lucy if goggles had one ‘g’ or two – with ensuing hilarity as he completed the thank-you letter he was writing.

The credits of the “Happiness” Charlie Brown tv show went too fast, but I did catch Stephen Pastis’ name as one of them, but not what he did.

Don’t think Pig’s so dumb, for he already knew this Steyci.
That’ why he’s so animated.

If you’re slightly lascivious, this Steyci is worth a copy and paste:

If she knew the comic she would know pigs an…. alternative intelligent being.
Shooter918 almost 13 years ago
I wonder how many times Pastis has done that on a book signing.

Pig tries so hard to be helpful. It’s not his fault he gets it slightly wrong every once in a while.

Try again, Pig, and this time take her “I” out.

Pig’s writing is like that of a pre-schooler. But, I do love his spelling here.
