Is Sorkh Razil/Jeff homophobic?

Maybe this will end with him running off to join the Taliban.

Two against one. Unfair. Jeff’s like the proverbial “cat on a hot tin roof”.

I tend to think Jeff is BOTH homophobic (mildly) AND horny (terribly, tragically) for hot chix. I agree that Becca has pwned him and will continue to do so. She thinks of him as “a dim bulb”. Nevertheless, she respects his writing talent and will continue to milk it for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Time for Jeff to make an appointment with a good psychiatrist to treat his multiple personality disorder.

Mark took his mom into the sidecar of his motorcycle and rescued her from a life of despair many moons back. How can this go unrecognized ? Hopefully it will play into the arc.

Trudeau does often fail to acknowledge the connections between characters. Mark would know who Joan’s son is.But there are so many connection it might get in the way. Jeff isalso Mike’s (Marks best friend) ex wife’s half brother. It all just way too inbred to be acknowledged if it doesn’t help the story

Re talent: I once read somewhere “Keanu Reeves is actually a talented actor. True, it’s a very ‘Bill-and-Ted’ sort of talent, but it’s there.”

Footnote to your excellent etymological exposition of “pwned”.  On the standard QWERTY keyboard, the letter “P” is right next to the letter “O”, just to the right.

It has been established that Jeff has been writing the adventures of Sorkh Razil for some time online and has a large readership. Becca recognizes this and probably sees talent where others (like Jeff’s father) dismiss it because it gets in the way of their own egos and condescensions.

Hooo boy, I don’t know how long this GoComic format’ll hold up. It takes half my life just to reload a page. Feels like a crash coming on.

It’s horribly slow, not just on the comments, but going from strip to strip. Snail-like.As for Mark’s hair, I guess he aged/decided to stop dyeing it when Chase left… and as for knowing who Jeff is, he probably does, but is letting Jeff pretend. Mark has turned out to be a pretty compassionate guy, probably because of all the years he had to pretend (even to himself) that he was something he wasn’t, i.e., heterosexual.And is Chaz a call out to Chaz Bono, you think?

Oh, and something new today… the number of comments shown before having to reload is down from about 20 to about 5. What’s up with that?
