I’d like to see lights up and running all winter! Better yet, someone could clean up by inventing a set of lights that would run the colors of each holiday, such as orange for Halloween, red and green for Christmas (or blue for Hanukkah), red-white-blue for national holidays. That way we could keep our lights up all year!
My family’s tradition was to do the Christmas decorating on the first Sunday after 10 December, the reason being that the 10th was my father’s birthday, and we always entertained, and didn’t want the drunken relatives to knock things over.

If you are smart, you keep and extra extension cord, so you can plug in either set – then you don’t ever have to take them down.

Of course, I don’t have room for the turkey, what with my Charlie Brown Christmas snowglobe, and my Steelers snowglobe on the porch!
