Opus and Binkley are happy with dandelions, too.

I kinda like the look of a field or lawn in spring when the dandelions are blooming. (The white fuzzies that follow… not so much.)

I went to a Christmas party last week and the hosts were friends I have not seen in about 25 years. The last time I saw them I offered them some homemade dandelion wine, which was a big hit. This time I took the last mason jar of the wine I had left with me. Surprisingly, it was rather drinkable. (I was afraid it might closer to jet fuel.)

I’ve also eaten dandelion greens. Cooked the right way, they’re tasty and very good for you!

Dandelion green salad is very good. Use just like lettuce.

dandelions…..on this first day of what promises to be a long, cold winter, I look forward with great anticipation to the lovely sight of dandelions in my yard, a sure indication of the arrival of spring

I’m with you, Ziggy! Unlike roses, dandelion greens are edible – and darned good with a little bacon grease! :-)
