The majority of the land used to raise cattle is actually not well suited to producing crops, so this “fact” is on pretty shaky ground. So to speak.

Not only is not all land suited for crop prduction, but much of the feed produced for livestock is crop residue or grains that do not meet human cosumption standards. Livestock also produce a necessary part of the “inputs” for crop production.

Two thirds may be under-nourished, but the main cause is that there are seven billion plus people. Most of the starving people are trying to raise crops on what is now marginal land. If there is not enough rain or other necessary inputs, the crops will not yeild. In many cases these marginal lands will not support crops, only livestock, they have no other choice. There is usually far more money (profit) in cash crops than in livestock production, if the land can grow a crop, that is what it will be used for.

Richter scale has a shaking amplitude 10 times larger and corresponds to an energy release of √1000 ≈ 31.6 times greater than one that measures 4.0.(Wikipedia)

Buy meat from local farms, not from supermarkets. It’s way better for you and doesn’t contain growth hormones. An ostrich, if one tried to roast one, has very coarse meat.

If evolution had not intended that we be vegetarians, we would not chew our cud, we would not have 4 ‘stomachs’, we would not walk around on 4 hooves with our heads hanging close to the short plants, and we would not have eyes on the sides of our heads to warn us about approaching predators.
