Jonathan Mc. – is this one of those half stories were the rest of the story would include the fact that he only eats fresh kill, something he hit and took right away. In our area that is what happens when someone hits a deer, the police don’t want it and many times they tell someone else to take it away because they want it.

I was once driving down the highway at night with a pesky tail-gater. A skunk trotted out across the road. Normally, I would have gone to the other lane to avoid him, but with a tail-gater, you just never know when he might be trying to pass. So, I straddled him as best I could. As I went over, I heard “Clunk!” and then saw what looked like something spraying up as the car behind went over him.

What will the old buzzard do next?

P. S. Thank you Ripley’s. That roadkill story just took away my appetite. Now I’ll be able to stick to my diet tonight.

I lost my appetite before getting to the roadkill, because the upper-left illustration made me think of someone with a face and a half!

Seriously, don’t eat armadillos under any circumstances. They are all invariably full of worms and other parasites… and can even carry leprosy.
