Bucky: Pick a card, any card, ten dollars to play, five dollar payout. No risk. Good odds... I don't even have a full deck. Ok, hey, by the way, I found this 378 dollar bill. But as it turns out. I specifically need a five dollar bill, so if you have one, I'm willing to trade. But now, for your viewing delight. We present the soft-paw stylings of Bucky "Jazzy Paws" Katt! Tips of between four and six dollars are standard. Chaaaaa! Man, this economy stinks. Rob: Satchel, here's ten bucks. Satchel: Oooo!

We already knew Bucky is not playing with a full deck, didn’t we?

I thought the proper way was to tell them to get lost. Half up front, half when they get there.

Oh, I dunno. Satchel gets ten bucks to just for not being Bucky? Pretty good deal, I’d say! Uhh…for Rob and Satch, anyhoo…

It’s NOT the economy, stupid!
RoseHawke about 13 years ago
Why does Rob even have a cat since he’s apparently not a cat person?
A.Ficionada about 13 years ago
I never noticed how small Bucky’s lower jaw is before, and now it seems kinda strange. Inbreeding?
Happy_Sinner about 13 years ago
It happens when cartoon cat breeders don’t keep track of their bloodlines. They just don’t care anymore. And what does PETA do? Nothing.

The sad thing is Bucky will just trick Satchel into giving him the ten.

I can haz cheapskate?

There’s more fun in this cartoon than any ten others you could choose. Todays is like 4 or 5 toons in one…

“I don’t even have a full deck.”
That’s what people say. [Lifted that from Calvin and Hobbes]

AHHHH Rob have a heart, give Bucky some cash.
akpammyj about 13 years ago
Why does Bucky need cash? Expecting a visit from his Nip dealer later, maybe?

Love the 2nd panel. That is soooo Bucky!.Rob can’t give Bucky any money, that will encourage the little furball to ask for more. And more. And more still. .Though you gotta wonder…. what he plans to buy with his money. If he ever gets any.

I may be a dramer but I miss the times when Rob had friends (Joseph), tried to date, had a life outside the appartment and that Bucky was less commercial and Satchel more naive than dumb…

I love this comic strip. I still have Bucky giving the road show guy the bird on my fridge.

I say Bucky is actually portraying how some are trying to get through in this economy: through cheating and poor deals… Then, it doesn’t work… That’s what Rob’s trying to teach Bucky, yeah, that’s it, Rob’s trying to teach Bucky by not giving him any money… I win! :)

I LOVE that bucky “found” a 378 dollar bill.
lattewoman about 13 years ago
Kind of an indirect way of giving $10 to Bucky, isn’t it?
whitedark1063 almost 13 years ago
I think this time, Rob is just being mean. He gave Satchel $10 solely because Bucky wanted $5. Satchel didn’t even ask for anything.
