good news Luann………… Tiff is gonna move to another town, and stop being in Pitts high…………. or is it too good to be true????

I think it’s actually kind of nice that Tiffany has aspirations and goals. I mean does any other character set a goal and work toward it lately? .And I know it’s unlikely to happen but it’s kind of nice to see a character with a positive attitude and optimism after completely dreadful storylines where Brad lost his job and almost broke up with Toni or Luann whining like a dweeb for a week about how no one likes her. .I mean if Tiffany wasn’t the designated “villain” (even though she’s went from Mean Girl of the school to being just a mild annoyance) I think more people would find the fact that she’s ambitious and positive to be one of the nice breaks from all the angst this strip has.

At least she has confidence, maybe Luann can learn a thing or two.

if you put your ear against tiff’s ear, could you hear the ocean? remember, folks, the only reason tiff is in the strip in the first place is for greg to do the blonde jokes.

Once in Los Angeles, I was eating at my favorite late night steak house when a flamboyant man entered with four beatufiul women hanging on him. After watching this scene play out for a few minutes, I asked the waiter if he was someone of note. He said, “Oh yes, he is the friend of a producer.”

True story – I was at a magazine co. in NY and some 20ish guy in ripped jeans with a big s**t eating grin and a beautiful girlfriend hanging all over him walks in. He was treated like gold because he had some person of note on his cell phone. I only recognized the name as someone you might see on Leno but I couldn’t remember what he looked like. Any of the stars I would have liked to meet are all dead. Nobody today comes close.

Tiffany has ABSOLUTELY no CONCEPT of what SARCASM means. Therefore Crystal can make SNIDE remarks about Tiff and get away with it.

So, Crystal willingly Hangs around and LISTENS to Tiffany’s ‘BS’ for Sheer ENTERTAINMENT value.

One other thing: Has Mr. Oz met Crystal yet? Or Rosa? Since Luann seems content to wallow if self-pity, maybe Quill should MOVE ON to one of THOSE two ladies.If nothing else, maybe THAT would spur Lu into getting off her perfectly formed duff and ACTING for a CHANGE.

It’s official. Tiff needs her own strip. Just a strip that shows us how she views the world…little pink hearts, puffy clouds and random herds of wild ponies running free across the plains

Hi, Baldeagle, Otto and all, I was also just glad to see (with 3 days of hearing about the LA trip, Tiff said nothing about Quill (I think Whayle is right – she only does that to bug Luann). Tiff is such a one-note person that she does get tiresome when noone is challenging her. And the frog tune was cute (especially part 2).

Tiff looks like she can afford to have some fries and a milk shake.

Good bye, Tiffany. Don’t let the screendoor hit your fanny on the way out.

Good for Tiffany! She has a dream that she’s excited about, and she’s actively pursuing it instead of sitting at home moping about it like most other characters in this strip do. She doesn’t care that she wasn’t the star, she’s just glad to work together with other people on something bigger than herself. Run away from this go-nowhere town of ambition-shaming people and don’t look back, Tiffany! You’ll be so much the better for it!

Ah, yes! What could possible be more dull and pointless than getting an education? Especially during these economic times?

She has a pole-dancer’s IQ. She’ll meet a lot of pay-for-play bands, too. And be a waitress when she hits 29, wondering.and angry. Ooops. I’ve seen this one…

One can only hope she really does move to Hollywood and leave this strip for good.

I like Tiff. She’s an eye catcher and is perfect for a comic strip because, after all, this is a “comic” strip. Besides, she lets so many readers feel intelligent and superior.

I think they did it too dark……… and what Crystal got(specially when right below we have apples and bananas ) was an orange…….. and some mac cheese…………. while is likely that Tiff got Chili Fries, as that is usually how it is served in California (on a big square box)

I agree that this story-line is about as dull as they get. .Maybe it will lead to something, but I doubt it..Recently story-lines have been simply dumped at a key point and all the potential fun lost.

I had a slightly different take on today’s strip. My first reaction to panel 1 was Awww.! She looks like a little girl waking up on Christmas morning to find Santa had really come. Sure, her dream is tinsel and fake sugar, but she seems to have turned a corner. Always before, she was only interested in something if she could be the star—that’s what she deserved, after all. Now she’s thrilled to have played a small, menial role in creating something big, something not her’s.

That’s why Crystal would have to go with her as manager and protector. (She could also read the hard words on any script).

Tiffany seems to be having an awakening, an epiphany. I’m not so sure she “belongs” in or would succeed in the film industry, but a trial run at it might help her grow up a bit. She’s not bad at heart, just incredibly self-centered and vapid. If she can come to realize this, she could become a much more interesting character…..As for Crystal, she’s great, but has a tendency to be sharp-tongued. Luann is emotionally underdeveloped and needs to grow up in that respect.

The streets of Hollywood are paved with broken dreams.

But this is a comic strip….who knows?

So… I’m not a real environmental, or political guru, I just play one on television.

It’s not the movie set that makes Tiffany’s life dull and pointless. It might have been that way before the LA experience.

Sorry to keep fighting the tide of opinion, but I’d still like to see Tiff and Crystal break the mold of the dull, insecure high school student, and head for Hollywood. They would be like another Laverne & Shirley. Poor, simple Tiff would be excited just to get a job at Disneyland wearing a Pluto costume and Crystal would be a success wherever she went.

She only said Hollywood is where she belongs…..not what she will do once she gets there.

to be honest, her motivation is admirable. If it were a realistic career choice, would be better.
