I came home with a fork and my wife asked me where I got it. I saw it in the road and took it. [True story]Another great philosopher, Stanley Marcus (of Neiman-) would always refer to Berra as “that great American philosopher who also played baseball.”
Actually, Yogi was correct on this point. Where he was living at the time, there were two roads leading into his place. Each road ended at his driveway, so when you drove to his house, you, “took the fork.” Funny, but, accurate.
Yogi has said he doesn’t remember most of the quotes people attribute to him. My favorite is the pizza quote when the waitress asked him if he would like his pizza cut in 12 slices or 24 – he said: “Better make it 12, I don’t think I can eat 24”

It sometimes bothers me that I understand the things that Yogi said.

I believe the quote came from Yogi once giving directions to his home in the country, but I could be mistaken…

Maybe its the juxtaposition of that quote and these characters, but I see Yogi BEAR and Boo Boo in the silhouettes in that truck.
