Is Alice annoying nature, or tempting fate?

I remember when Mother Nature got annoyed all the time. Usually it involved tubs of fake butter.

Well timed, Alice! We in Chicagoland are due to get three to six inches of the stuff today, our first substantial snow of the season.

I’m getting flashbacks to Calvin trying to make it snow, invoking snow demons or whatever it took.

Come to think of it, I’m pretty sure that Calvin and Hobbes creator Bill Watterson wrote that he liked Cul de Sac.

The scary thing is: still no snow and the strip must be drawn well ahead of time. Not a comment on climate change, of course. Just an observation.

I left Chicagoland, after over 30 years in my house in Skokie because I got enough to buy a larger one here with a pool and I never have to see snow (and If I want to, it’s a 3 hour drive away).

GAH! STOP IT, ALICE! Annoying Mother Nature is just making it snow EVERYWHERE ELSE. How do you think I got a blizzard over here? Not only will everyone at school be mad at you for this tomorrow, but I’m gonna be snowed in! Are you even listening? GAH! I SAID STOP DRAGGING YOUR SLED ON THE SIDEWALK! MY EARS!!!

Petey has to shout to be heard over the annoying noise.

I love that Petey understands Alice so well, but he’s much more annoyed than Nature. @ 3 steps, I remember those commercials and can still picture those garlands on her head.

maybe she’d have more luck if she were more flexible and had a “Flexible Flyer” the king of sleighs.
