Larvae-coated Oreos……Hmmmmmm!!!!

What a disgraceful fate, little Calvin!

He’s long overdue for a swat on the rump.

Been many an instance where he should have been swatted before this….and many times after. :). I’d say if he got swatted with the newspaper it couldn’t have hurt much…but he’s holding his bottom in the last frame and looking a bit uncomfortable…so maybe it was more of a swat from his moms hand…love the art work though

In this morning’s Pickles, Nelson looks like a Calvin-in-training. Somewhat.

I noted this is probably the one and only time that a brand name (Oreo cookies) is named in Watterson’s comic.

Well what did you expect, Calvin. Even at your age, I preferred to swat the fly over being the fly.

But as Snoopy once remarked : “It does tend however to give one a rather distorted view of the press.”

Calvin is a fly in the ointment, …in the cookie jar, even! (Snagglepuss)

It looks as if Calvin got the brushoff from Mom!That’s swat we wanted!

As Shrek would say, Calvin is going the right way for a smart bottom.

Happy Father’s Day to all the happy fathers out there.Today, Calvin’s dad doesn’t look like one of them.

It was the incessant banging of his head into the television screen that got to mom.

I have to chuckle at the analogy of Calvin and a fly. It makes me imagine the scene exactly.

While I’m no advocate of swatting kids, at least she didn’t use an electronic bug zapper on the little brat. I have one that looks like a tennis racket.

Yep, Watterson’s artwork is superb as always …. almost too good… the close-up of the fly almost made me sick to my stomach. Disgustingly beautiful! Ha!
