Lynn’s Notes:Alan shared the kitchen in this apartment with several other tenants- all of whom were vegetarian. Even though they had agreed to allow equal space in the fridge for each person’s groceries, Alan’s grub ( largely animal protein ) was always relegated to a back corner. Streams of carrot tops and mounds of fresh celery would pour out of the open door and to add to his misery, the screaming sound of their juicing machine kept him from sleeping in.
The great Canadian band, The Arrogant Worms, had a great song – “Carrot Juice is Murder”. It’s been out for some years, but their video is on You Tube. It comes to mind whenever a discussion on the virtues of vegetarianism pops up.
Reading all the comments people leave for these strips makes me scared of what our society is coming to. Too many comments sound like you folks are living vicariously through these strips and think these things are real. Scary! Enjoy them but for crying out loud don’t try and talk about what the character may be thinking or should be doing. It’s a comic strip not reality. Geez!!

I hate to think what he’s got growing in that fridge. Might be best to get Lio to investigate it.

There is so much I miss when I read the comics in black and white in my newspaper. Now I see what was in the fridge.

I think you’ve been watching too much “Judge Judy”. Most friends who share apartments have no such problems. I know my friend Joy and I didn’t.

e. Knowing her brother is on a tight budget she doesn’t want to impose on him for lunch.
