I have a buddy who says he gets his news from Comedy Central and his comedy from Fox News.

Sounds like he’s got a great strategy. Hope he can keep his good sense of humor.

I prefer to filter life experience through 19th century children’s fiction. Each one has his or her own opiate.

I love the way Watterson uses the interplay of different size and type of panels in the strip to move the idea along. Six standard rectangles wouldn’t have worked nearly so well.

He who says he gets the news from Comedy Central and comedy from Fox News is clearly afraid of reality.

With I don’t know how many channels and nothing on, I often opt to turn the thing off. It saves wear and tear on the channel changer.

I’m not certain there’s any such thing as a leftwing patriot. Rare as Bigfoot. Most are like the President. They want to get rid of everything that makes this country unique.

I get my comedy from the campaigns.

Actually, I prefer real life to the rubbish that is on television. Real life is more fun and unpredictable.

But real experience is so much more satisfying in the long run than watching the pre-packaged mush on the boob box.
