It’s green. It must be Spaceman Spiff’s kryptonite!

Exploring strange worlds are Space Man Spiffs relaxing time from fighting real mean monsters and aliens .Eating that green crap is not good for a man that must be ready to fight and fly at such high speeds.Cant show weakness by barfing or sitting on the toilet.Do not eat that green crap.

Eat your green glop, Spiff man. It’s good for you

I wonder if this is like M*A*S*H, where the meat is green and the vegetables/salad are brown.

1.You do realize this is a cartoon, right? Where a situation is set up for effect?2.If this were a real life situation you would judge a persons mothering ability on a 30 second glimpse you get into her life?

It’s not his refusal to eat — it’s his refusal to try something new, which directly contradicts Spaceman Spiff’s credo of "exploring the unknown. And Calvin very MUCH believes in his own fantasies — otherwise, Hobbes wouldn’t be his only real friend, and Calvin’s imagination wouldn’t be constantly getting him into trouble. Ergo, a Calvin who won’t try new foods = hypocrite.

But you don’t even know what it is. It could be pesto lasagna for all you know. All you can tell is that it’s green.
