The horse knows the way, to carry the sleigh through the white and drifting snow – O! I’m very happy to be here (moved from IL to leave that messy slush behind!)

Reminds me of an old “Bert & I” routine. Only with mud, not snow.

My dachsie loves snow(even burrowing in it), hates rain, it’s been a bad year for him, and will be a bad year for ranchers and farmers this summer, with no water recharge. We’ve been having increasingly record warm winter temps, for the past six years. Not a “good” thing!

Lucy is one REALLY short horse. She’s about the same height as Danae.As all regular readers know, Lucy is a miniature clydesdale.

Not this much snow on the ground where I am in Maine. In fact, it’s over 40 again, and everything we got yesterday is melting again. Although, it started raining, again, before the day was over. So now we have lakes of water on top of the frozen ground. Which freeze overnight and form sheets of ice everywhere. Most bizarre winter ever.

Tell it to my cousin in Fairbanks; she’s got this really tiny violin she can play for ya.

Kate should show Danae how you use a dog to sled across the TOP of the snow.
