Thatās how kids learn. Itās a kid thing and they just have to experiment to see what happens if I do this.
When we get older, I hesitate to say mature, we do the same thing. Only now the things we experiment with can often cause real hurt and pain and even death.
Itās just a matter of bigger experiments. Bigger, more expensive toys.
Her yelling is what caused him to drop it. If sheās going to yell like that, she should be prepared to catch the glass first or the mess is her own fault.
As long as heās also taught to not play with his food. Send him outside to do his testing with water, so he understands the difference between playing with his food and science experiments.
I got involved with an āexperimentā with a large suction cup ā spent the rest of the day with a perfectly circular bruise in the middle of my forehead!
I did that once only with an empty juice glass. It took both my parents to break the vacume in the glass and free my mouth. How they found me in that predictament is something that slipped my memory banks.
JPSteve: Was it large enough to be used as a trombone mute? waw, waw, waw. (Like adults in animated Peanut cartoons. Also useful for minor plumbing repairs.)
