You can also get dry ice at some grocery stores. You need to be 18 to buy it.Cuts down on those pranks. It’s not exactly cheap either.

We used to get it from the guys who pushed ice cream carts with the bells on the handle bars, around town. Fascinating stuff. If you play hot potato with a good size chunk of it, you definitely have incentive to get rid of it. From experience, I know you can’t keep it in your mouth very long…

Thanks for the heads up on the pop bottle bombs. Bottles are worth 10 cents around these parts. There are seldom any laying around. These days some people use bottles as income. Having your hand blown off is a tough way to earn a dime….

They had better get out of there quickly, or they will be asphyxiated by CO2.

I knew a fool like GatoCat, got a bottle exploded in his face. After many operations he still looks like a freak, and blind in one eye.

Ever notice it’s the smart kids who pull pranks and get away with them?

That’s right: the current financial situation…like all of its forebears…just another, bigger practical joke. Very practical…

Good points, unfortunately it is very easy to learn how to build a bomb. I watched an “I Spy” tv show years where Kelly and Scotty built a fertilizer bomb in a shoe box. I still remember how it is done.

Very true. I thought of what would dismissed as a “prank” say in the 1970’s or earlier would be treated more seriously today. And I agree maybe they should “edited for content” for copycat reasons.

And the gloves are another clue on who did the prank.

They showed in general of a (classic) Hawaii Five-O episode of creating a fertilizer bomb.

Redkay, taco, yup. Ten cents, if it’s an aluminum can or a big 2 pound Mickey’s Ice, (disgusting beer) and it has been for over 25 years…When the law was passed a, dime was worth money. Ten aluminum cans equaled a dollar. And again, the dollar was actually worth something back then. Discarded bottles disappeared overnight. It’s the most successful law of any kind that I’ve seen in my 59 years. Redkay is right, it should apply to all beverage containers. And it should be at least a 25 cent deposit……Turns out paying people to do the right thing works…..

Just a question — do you really use dry ice in welding? Not as a mood item at a wedding?
