Joe needs to write down his versions of the stories!
I wish I’d written down some of the silly songs I made up and sang to my daughter when she was a baby (of course, who could forget such jazzy classics as “It’s hard to put a sock on a wiggly baby”?)

… kids always love it when parents make up bedtime stories, but it can be difficult to invent new material … sometimes it gets to be like, “hey, remember last night when the Giant marched into the Cave and Swung his Huge Club, and just barely Missed Bashing In Our Hero? well, tonight he did it again …”

Kids don’t want new material. They want to hear the same story again. I varied it a lot, but that was to please myself.
