we dressed up to go out, my (now X) used to dump so much of his on, you could smell him before he arrived. I HATE strong smells like that! On the other hand, my senses are very sharp; if I open my patio door I can smell when my next door neighbor has a cigarette on his patio from 6’ inside the door where I sit watching birds. I still have some of my Shalimar, but seldom wear scent as it attracts bees.

Several decades ago I had something by Avon that smelled like honeysuckle and boy did that attract the bees!!

When I smell patchouli now, I wonder who’s high.

@ Bill the Butcher – I commend you for taking your comments to the blog area, but you’ve piqued my curiosity. When Greg DOESN’T quit on this strip and DOESN’T revert back to what you apparently feel was a superior period in the LUANN comic strip continuum, what will YOU do? Are you waiting for Godot?

Both Tiff and Crystal are showing that they carry around a large makeup bag and at least 1 full size perfume bottle. At least Luann has a normal size bag. As I said, I seldom wear even my Shalimar now (very subtle scent) and never carry makeup with me. If I wear it, I apply once before leaving the house, and some things like a workshop at a friend’s house or a quick trip to refill my water bottles don’t require any paint at all.

Bounce sheets are the best bug repellant

I was told about it when I went through the Fed LEO Academy in Georgia; they discovered it when they were trying to find a replacement for the various DDT-based repellents.

I can’t stand the latest fragrances even when people only wear a little (which is what they’re supposed to do). I prefer more fruity scents. However, nowadays people (such as Tiffany, note the spray on her throat), wear so much that they smell like they bathed in it. Ugh! It’s enough to irritate my allergies from miles away, let alone feet.

Nice comeback, Luann. Plus you may have a friend in Crystal.
