Oh yes, I really, really , really like him. I am a collecter of junk too. To make something useful, better, prettier. All it takes is a little glue. Ok Aaron. Pour on your glue.Blessed BE.
Oh, I’m taking a liking to this man already.By the way, How many of you know that Aaron Neathery is very good with voices? If there were ever an animated movie or even a radio play of Endtown, Aaron would be able to do most of them. Those of you who haven’t caught his radio comedy from a few years ago, Electromatic Radio, should go to the web site and download the podcasts. they’ll give you an insight into the fact that the man who can make us cry can also make us laugh, fit to burst.http://www.radio4all.net/index.php/contributor/3228
He’s doing the name avoidance thing, like the Doctor. And like several other characters in Endtown who don’t want anyone to know who they used to be. He sounds like a major figure in the history of the End, like Sparkplug and probably Mallard.
Very good…the loony captain doesn’t like seeing things or people being discarded…so he does something about it. Good turn in the storyline. Keep those twists and turns coming!
where can i find the strips with this guy ? after reading your and daddoff posts i tried to find it but all i could find was that pic i posted yesterday
You know, it’s only been five years since the war, and our friends in Endtown have been primarily concerned with staying alive. They are isolated from whatever is outside of the immediate Hillside area that is reachable on foot. The question has been asked before I believe (but I don’t recall an answer): is the whole world in this shape? Aaron says much of Earth is now a desert of fine powder, but what of the rest? Are there others beside TSers and mutants? Maybe this is the begining of a glimpse into that area? Maybe the more important question is “Where is Melodie?” ;-)
DANG! EVERYBODYs picking up on the TimeLord thing. He has Tom Bakers’ Smile. Sylvester McCoys’ Shoes. David Tennants’ Glasses and the clothes look like a mix of Bill Hartnell, P. Troughton, Jon Pertwee. AND he does have a TARDIS….Tethered Aerial Release Developed In Style.(For those WHO haven’t guessed Google “TheNextDoctor”)
Not to berate or second-guess our good Mr. Neathery, but I had the sense from Friday’s last panel that the captain (for we don’t yet know his name) was an older, portly (dare I say elfish?) perhaps professorial philosopher/gentleman. Somehow I would have liked that; I was slightly disappointed when he turned out to be another energetic 20- or 30-something; a little older would have brought in some maturity. It wasn’t until that moment I saw his face this morning that it occurred to me everyone else playing substantial roles in the strip falls into that younger category. (Well, except perhaps for Dr. Mallard.)Think of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (the story, not necessarily the movie). The professor was a perfect fit for that role. A geek wouldn’t have had the same impact. (Not that I don’t know some mature geeks!!) ;-)Of course, it’s a credit to our pencil-wielding benefactor that I thought of this at all. That’s what I like about this strip. It makes me see all this stuff in different ways than I have before!
This definately looks like Aaron Marx who seems to be a trans-dimensional time traveller with an eleventh dimensional trench coat. This is listed as Aaron’s “Lost Project” with at least 92 pages in existance. No wonder he can apply string theory to walk on air!Aaron MarxVote for EndtownVote for Doc Rat
Hey all just got my art work from Aaron framed and it looks great. Has Walley, Holly, and Flask in it. If you want a look at it you can access my facebook page Joseph S Waskiewicz, or email me and I’ll send you a picture of it, jswaskiewicz@gmail.com
I love reading all your comments folks. However, there is nothing that I can do with glue or scotch tape to any of you, you are yourselves and greatly liked and appreciated. Blessed BE

Am I the only one that notices the resemblance between this guy’s ship, and the one from Teddy Ruxpin? :P This is what I get for being an 80’s kid.

Perhaps Petey should mention that he’s friends with Al & Gustine.

What we have here is apparently “a real character”. The “freaky eyes and teeth thing” cracked me up :).

Well, trans-dimensional time travellers are a unique lot and lots of fun to add to a story line.

this air walking ship captain looks a bit looney, or maybe it’s that the eyes look a bit crossed.!

It seems like a stream of consciousness kind of plot twist. Okay, I’m cool with that.
