Voice: ... and I want to be able to argue on my show that Obama's stimulus created zero jobs! Man: Okay, that could be tricky, sir. The Congressional Budget Office reported the stimulus created up to 3.3. million new jobs... when we customize data sets, we pride ourselves on plausibility. To be frank, I'm not loving our current product - it may not hunt for you. Voice: But it's only for Fox News. Man: Oh, you should have said so, sir! I'll get it right off to you!

Fox: We have a different standard for the truth.

Itâs bad enough that so many people devoutly believe stuff for which there is no evidence, but to try to guide your life and make other people guide their lives according to ideas that are directly contrary to virtually all the evidence (as the âdeniersâ collectively do)âŠthatâs just plain weird.

FOX IS fair and balanced. What WE say is the only truth, and the other side is a LIE! See, perfect balance.

Fox supporters, take heart, the left wingers are just too stupid to see a âGreeceâ happening in this country for just the same reasons. They just wonât learn from history as they have something âfreeâ to loose if we go back to a level playing field. You canât feed the bears and then suddenly take it away without repercussions; there are too many people paid not to work in this country. Liberal California going bankrupt will be an early sign.

Like Fox is the only news organization that makes crap up.The other networks, (being without sin, apparently) could really turn the ratings around if they did regular segments calling out the lies of a competitor. Gosh⊠I wonder why they donât do that?âŠ
TerryGA about 13 years ago
HmmâŠaccording to the CBO the stimulus created between 500k â 3.3M jobs. At $747B, each job cost taxpayers between $238k â $1.57M. Obama defenders would be funny if they werenât ruining the country.

FOX News as defined on a sign seen at an occupy event:âRich people paying rich people to tell middle class people to blame poor peopleâ. Nails it!

@jrmerm: And how has the stock market, along with corporate profits, been doing lately? The stimulus worked as well as it could, and would have been a LOT better if the repubs had not obstructed it.

Fox News⊠Thatâs an oxymoron isnât it?
LIBERTY1 about 13 years ago
Lets see 880 billion stimulus divided by 3.3 million jobs equals $242,000 a person. Not to mention the robust 1% growth. Youâre right it was an efficient use of money.

Half a generation ago, a politician would be ashamed when caught in a lie; now they repeat it until enough voters believe it to be true.

Nicely dismissed. However Rusty Limpoo doesnât make his own calls. He ONLY reads whatâs been written for himâŠwell, now heâs done it so much he can wing it some, but it took twenty years of reading the Heritage scripts. Of course he had to go to painkillers because even he couldnât deal with itâŠa self-made psychopath. He just couldnât turn loose of themoney.
Thatâs what happened to ReaganâŠonce they got him reading those scripts in front of rooms of engineers, he acted his way right into the part.Thatâs one of the better brainwashing methods, by the wayâŠmost good actors know this.

Not characterizing a network as a man, but this is all ad hominem attack: name-calling.

I only read this comic in an attempt to get the other side of current issues. So far this week, Iâm not impressed. They are ridiculing my side of the issue instead of presenting facts to build up their side of the issue. And they are ignoring numerous facts that back up my views. Seriously, if I were a liberal, Iâd be disgusted with this.

Trudeau does not mock God. He mocks those who mock science.

If you are one of the ones that runs around saying, âfox news liesâ, then back it up. Cite a specific example and definitive proof that itâs a lie. Otherwise, while you have one finger pointing to them, there are three pointed back to you.

Hear hear! Well said!
Warren Wubker about 13 years ago
Actually it was a range fro 1.4 to 3.3 million but no effort was made to determine how many of those jobs would have been created as a normal economic activity, which the CBO admits could have happened. Trudeau needs to get his facts from the CBO instead of Politico.
Dtroutma about 13 years ago
Paul Joseph Goebbels and Roger Ailes use the same techniques to get good ratings for their âfront menâ. Theyâre not worried about âparalysis by analysisâ for factual content, just that the latter day broadcasters have to be a little more cautious about slander, but not much.
kaffekup about 13 years ago
Why would Faux call this company? They have an in-house department of made-up âfactsâ, and when it fails, the anchors make them up on the wing..And how about so many of the graphics they use to make points being shown to be from different events, different seasons, even different political parties? They always claim itâs a âmistakeâ.

âFair and balancedâ, just keep repeating that until the sheeple believe it.
R0Randy about 13 years ago
The stimulus did create many public sector jobs, which are paid for on the backs of the private sector. Not so many jobs as far as private sector jobs go, which have fewer backs in play to pay to support the public sector jobs. Private sector jobs grow the economy, public sector jobs parasitically prey on the economy.

If something is said loud enough and long enough it is perceived as fact. If enough people repeat this âfactâ it is perceived as truth.

Ah Fox News the place liberals mention when they want to show that there targets are dumb. This is like the sheep in âAnimal Farmâ who would bleat âFour Legs Good. Two Legs Bad.â
kaffekup about 13 years ago
Not to forget that a lot of the stimulus was in tax cuts, as required by the Republicans, who then voted against it, and then bragged about the jobs it was bringing to their districts. Can you say âhypocrisyâ? Of course you can.

Sooo leftwing, how was the parade? It was nice of the Giants to come to New York for their fans, even though theyâre more of a Hoboken team.
