Breaking news East Anglia Brewery announced today that they are shutting the doors on their largest facility. General manager Ubin Gott sites an inexplicable sudden drop in sales as the cause. Quote: “Never seen anything like this before. It’s like in one day London cut it’s consumption in half.”

What’s gotten into Andy and how long will it last?

The good news is that Andy’s playing without a hangover.The bad news is it’s the worst game he’s ever had in his life.

Andy’s sober because Flo’s on vacation.

I haven’t read Andy Capp for a while, did he quit drinking?!?!

when i quit drinking a whole new world opened up to me. i do miss beer, but not enough to lose my newer life.

Okay, when is this farce going to end??

I’ve often seen Andy play football without a hangover — he’s been too drunk to have one!

Don’t get excited, Ref. It won’t last long. I’m sure Flo still thinks it’s all a dream and then will soon wake up in a big disappointment.

Man! this stinks! Andy Capp is sober! This is pure blashemy! I miss the drunk Anday Capp stumbling into his gags. I want the old drunk back! (First 3 sarc.).

Who else here is waiting for the proverbial “other shoe” to drop?

When Andy realizes that he is getting too much blood in his alcohol system, he will start drinking again.

Are we in an alternate universe? Is it April Fool’s Day? Are we all having a collective dream?

I like the new Andy. Should be an interesting arc.
