How are you both going to feel tomorrow when the box is empty?

they do, it is called a Whitmans Sampler, they have a map in the lid of what all the flavors are. I love that because I can pick out the ones I like and leave the rest for whoever is raiding my candy box.

I used to take a knife and cut the chocolates in half, to find the ones I liked.

We have a little plunger that is inserted into the bottom of the candy so you can tell if it’s any good after trying the small piece.

In general, with few exceptions, I’ve found that the square ones are the caramels. That’s what I’m always shooting for. I’m only telling yall this secret because you probably won’t be getting any of my holiday candy. Keep it close, keep it secret.

People used to all buy those assortments in my youth. My parents learned to buy Fanny May (which lrt people create their own assortment – they loved the truffles) and I always prefered the orange peels (Now I make my own from my orange tree) and I love plain organic dark chocolate for a daily treat and prefer Green and Blacks). Once in a while I make orange peels with extra dark (80% cocoa) and I have made plain old butterscotch hard candy too- had a piece today.
