    At least she’s indoors. I’ve never understood folks who get a dog and then put it in a pen in the backyard and walk away.

    we have 3 little dogs, they have a doggie door to the enclosed back yard. They get plenty of exercise there running and chasing each other. So maybe the answer for lonely dogs is a playmate.

    Whether inside or outside, an ignored dog is unhappy and sometimes an accident waiting to happen. My next door neighbor never takes her dogs out and they BARK ALL THE TIME – because they’re bored!
