How long until smart phones can’t be used to make vocal calls?

reminds me of an annoyed old lady in a phone shop being spoken down by the young and arrogant salesman trying to sell her a high tech smartphone. Once he stopped vaunting the processor, the apps and such she put on her most innocent face and said: Yes, good, but does it call people? We all laughed with her.

I also have a phone that is only a phone, and it also only rings when my husband calls me. That’s because he’s the only one that every calls me on my cell!

I bought a Tracfone in January & still have almost all the original minutes. I just wanted it for emergencies. I refuse to pay these ridiculous cell plan prices.

how did you do that? or did your wife set the phone up?

I like to say that the last thing I need is a phone that is “smarter” than I am. I have had to learn how to text, but that’s all.

So… she’s dumb enough to have a $30/month data package and she uses her $500+ phone ONLY as a phone?!? Wow… the technologically illiterate can be really stupid sometimes. :-s

Alas, my phone is not smart. I spent and hour at the cell store trying to get the darn thing to ring. Had every other ring tone but a phone ringing. I have a dumb phone. LOL

I just want to make and recieve phone calls, but the camera is kind of fun.
