    Narcissism depends on what kind of “not ordinary” you want to be. If you’re going for unusually strange, you’ve nailed it.

    It’s a shame the art of grammar isn’t among that arsonist’s skills.

    You must never lose sight of the fact, Teresa, that you are a unique individual, just like everyone else on the planet.

    Ordinary is FAR overrated. Just sayin’.

    And, @Arch Stanton …

    How do you catch someone’s pet rabbit?

    Tame way—unique up on him.

    I was once chastised for using the term “very unique.” Since unique means “one of a kind” there is no such thing as more unique, very unique, less unique…You mustn’t quantify an absolute.

    Some advice is more ignorable than others.

    Ted Bessell has been my fantasy boyfriend since I was 12 and Ann Marie is my forever hero! Random Awesome Fact: Marlo Thomas insisted that the series end without Ann and Don actually getting married and just being engaged because she didnt want the message of the show to be as long as you get married you get your happily ever after, Single Girls totally get Happily Ever After Too!

    @Number Six#6, saying that everyone else on the planet is unique is saying that “no one is just a number!” We are all uniquely our own person- like a snowflake, no two persons are alike.

    (You are not seeing things. I had to correct this sentence. I miss the edit button.)

    @the old wolf

    I question the “tick” etymology, and would appreciate your informed validation. I wouldn’t quibble if it were fleas; I have personal experience with crushing fleas between fingernails – ‘tick’ is indeed the sound. Ticks, I suppose, could have a similar sonic signature…if they aren’t engorged with blood to any extent…which, when discovered, they usually are (again, personal experience). Have you heard of the necessity of carefully backing them out of their feeding site with a (if I remember correctly) careful counterclockwise unscrewing motion?
